Pro Plan

Who it's for: Individual notaries who conduct sessions regularly and want to be found first in client search, to carry their practice's own branding, and to have the evidentiary and review tools a busy practice needs.

Pro is a notary subscription. Clients do not need Pro — the platform is always free for clients.

What's included

Everything in Access, plus:

Boosted search ranking

Pro notaries appear above Access notaries in every client search result. This is enforced in the database query itself, not as a badge — a client searching in your state sees Pro notaries first.

This is the feature that brings work in, and it is the one to weigh when deciding whether the subscription pays for itself.

Your plan decides which group you are in. Your work decides where you sit inside it. Within each plan, notaries are ordered by whether they have completed a session in the last 90 days, then by their completion rate, then by whatever the client chose to sort on. So a Pro notary who works steadily rises above other Pro notaries over time — and no notary is ever pushed out of the placement their plan gives them, whatever their record.

Two things deliberately do not count against your position:

  • Sessions your client cancelled. You did not choose it and could not prevent it.
  • Documents or sessions you refused for cause. Declining a document you should decline must cost you nothing. See Refusing a document.

A notary who has not yet completed a session is treated as unranked rather than as bottom of the field, so a new notary is not buried for having done nothing yet.

Practice branding

Show your practice name and logo on your search listing, on your public profile, and in the header of your exported journal. A client comparing notaries sees a practice rather than an individual.

You also get a 200-character practice description on your search card, directly under your name — the line a client reads while deciding who to book. Descriptions are reviewed before they appear, and Rule 39 of the Rules of Professional Conduct sets real limits on what may go in one. See Your practice description for what to write and what to avoid.

Access notaries appear under their own name only, with no practice branding and no description.

Downloadable session audit certificate

Download a full audit certificate for any session you conducted: the complete timestamped lifecycle of the act, formatted for a court, a regulator or an opposing party. Access notaries can view the audit trail in-app but cannot export it in this form.

AI review is advisory, and that is not a Pro feature

Worth saying plainly on the page that sells Pro: AI review never blocks a notarisation, on any plan. An Access notary can notarise a flagged document exactly as a Pro notary can, and either may leave an optional note on why they proceeded. That note is free and available to everyone.

This page used to advertise "Override a Blocked Document" as a Pro feature. There was no block to override — nothing in the platform has ever read that flag to prevent anything — so it was selling permission that was not required. It has been removed rather than reworded.

What Pro actually buys in AI review is the section above: unlimited deep review, against a monthly allowance on Access.

Evidence Pack requests

Order a complete evidentiary bundle for a session — the recording, the full audit chain and every document hash — for a dispute, a complaint or a court production. Available to Pro and above. Each pack is charged separately from your subscription.

SMS and automated voice reminders (coming soon)

Not yet switched on

This is built but not live. Every reminder currently reaches you by email, on every plan, and nothing in this section is sending yet. It is described here so you know what the subscription will include; it is not something you are getting today. See Comparing the plans for the full list of what is and is not live.

When it launches: an SMS an hour before each session, and an automated phone call fifteen minutes before it, on top of the email reminders every plan receives. These are the reminders that reach you when you are not looking at a screen, which is when a missed session actually happens.

If a client is waiting and presses Remind notary, that will reach you by SMS too rather than by email.

Downloadable performance figures

Every notary can read their own figures — sessions, completion rate, documents notarised and refused, earnings, and every review a client has left them — on My Performance. Pro adds the ability to download them as a spreadsheet: one row for the period, money in naira, ready for your own records or your accountant.

The figures themselves are not a plan feature and never will be. They are your own professional record. What Pro buys is taking them away as a file. See Your Performance.

Subscription reference number

Your unique NIT-PRO-YYYYMMDD-XXXX reference appears on your billing dashboard and in your subscription email. Quote it to support for faster resolution.

Priority support

Two business hours when a session is live or starts within the hour; one business day for everything else. Business hours are 09:00–17:00 WAT, Monday to Friday.

What Pro does not change

Document retrieval. Every notary on every plan gets the same free window after a session, and the same terms after it — see Getting documents back later. Retrieval stopped being a plan feature deliberately.

Your electronic journal. Reg 14(1) requires every notary to keep one, so it is on every plan, Access included, and so are both journal exports. See Your Electronic Journal.

Reading your own performance figures. On every plan. Only the CSV download is a Pro feature — see Your Performance.

Billing

  • Monthly or yearly billing
  • Yearly billing saves approximately 10% compared to paying monthly
  • Cancel at any time — you keep Pro to the end of the period you paid for, then move to Access. No refund for the unused part, and no early cut-off either.
  • Renewals are charged to the card you first paid with. A payout account cannot be charged — that is where money comes to you.
  • A failed renewal opens a 7-day grace period on Pro while the charge is retried, up to 3 attempts.

Upgrading to Pro

  1. Go to Account → Billing.
  2. Select Pro.
  3. Choose your billing cycle.

Joining an Elite organisation

If your firm subscribes to Elite, you can join as a member and receive all Pro-equivalent features — covered by the organisation's subscription. Your personal Pro subscription is automatically paused during your membership, so you are not billed for both.

If you later leave the organisation

Reinstating a paused personal subscription is not yet automatic. If you leave an Elite organisation and want your own Pro plan back, contact [email protected] and we will restore it — please do not assume it has resumed on its own.
