Rating Your Notary
Why ratings matter
After each completed session, you are invited to leave a star rating for your notary. Ratings are optional, but they are genuinely useful — they help other clients make an informed choice, and they give notaries direct feedback on their service.
A notary's average rating is visible on their public profile and influences their position in search results alongside their subscription tier.
When the rating prompt appears
The feedback form appears on screen automatically as soon as your session completes, immediately after the seal is applied.
You will also receive an email containing a direct link to the same form. If you chose Skip for now on the day, that email link is how you come back to it later.
The email link expires after 7 days
Your rating link is single-use and valid for 7 days from the end of your session. After that it can no longer be used, and the session cannot be rated.
How to rate
- Give a 1–5 star rating in each of three categories:
- Overall platform experience
- Video call quality
- Notary performance
- Optionally, add a comment under Additional comments.
- Click Submit Feedback.
Your rating is submitted immediately and is visible on the notary's public profile.
You can only rate once per session
Each completed session allows one rating. Once submitted, ratings cannot be edited — contact support if you believe a rating was submitted in error.
Star rating guide
Apply this scale to each of the three categories — you may well rate the video quality differently from the notary's performance, and separating them is what makes the feedback useful.
| Stars | What it means |
|---|---|
| ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Excellent — professional, smooth session, highly recommended |
| ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Good — minor issues but overall positive experience |
| ⭐⭐⭐ | Average — session completed but with notable friction |
| ⭐⭐ | Poor — significant problems affected the session |
| ⭐ | Very poor — session was unsatisfactory |
Anonymous ratings
Your name and contact details are never shown publicly alongside your rating. Only your star score and written comment (if provided) are visible on the notary's profile. The platform retains the link between your account and the rating for moderation purposes only.
What happens to your rating
- It is immediately reflected in the notary's average star rating on their profile.
- It contributes to their search ranking — notaries with consistently high ratings appear higher in results within their subscription tier.
- Notaries can read your comment to understand how to improve, but cannot contact you about your rating or have it removed without a moderation review.
Reporting a concern
If you experienced a serious problem during your session — misconduct, fraud, or a safety concern — do not rely on the rating system alone. Contact NotariseIt support directly at [email protected] so we can investigate properly.
